People asked them to stay away
To remain in their spaces
Never to come near
Never to come for help.
A life
Filled with rejections
Begging, for just a normal day
For being like anyone else,

just for an hour

“Shoo, go away
I have nothing for you.”
Yelled the man in the Mercedes
Years of frustration, they cursed
“May you live a crippled life”

No one cares to understand,
Why the frustration is
“Go, do a job”
to the one who never went to school.

“You shouldn’t beg,
You shouldn’t live like this”
And when they asked
the reply always remained the same.

It’s funny, how all of us shun away the begging transgender. We ask them to work, but us being a bunch of hypocrites, will never employ them.

If you don’t have anything to give them, the least you can, is give them respect.

  1. It’s so sad to see some part of our society suffering at our expense.. on one hand we talk of helping others n on the other we only make them helpless.. But there are some who are ready to offer good future to them… All we need to do is work at grass root level n educate them so that they are capable of living a well deserved better life…
A change is cmg…..now . We talk about them feel for them n think for them… I think if this has begun… Soon there ll be hands offering help to them… ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. Real thought provoking…beautifully written..!..makes one wonder what they would act themselves if faced with a situation like that…
    but unfortunately ..
no matter what peoole may hink they should do..
    the answer instinctively…is shoo! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
